The lives of stars such as musicians or influencers also were highly restricted by the pandemic because they could no longer perform live in front of many people or organize meet and greets. Here, platforms such as Bloggercube come into play, which establish direct contact between stars and fans.

Nowadays, social networks have an increasing influence on our everyday life. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in 2020, social life was forcibly restricted and it has become clear how valuable these modern ways of communication are. They bring millions of people together online and enable a variety of contact options despite the isolation. Platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok are widely used as a source of entertainment and have gained millions of new users during the pandemic.
Social media was not only used more intensively in people’s free time, but also in workspaces and in schools. For meetings that had to take place online, platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Skype became increasingly popular. Once school lessons could no longer take place face-to-face, the students were taught online from home via video chat on such platforms.
"We have our so-called cyber training with FC Bayern every day, in which the whole team is involved in order to maintain our fitness," Leon Goretzka says in a Skype interview. Above all, however, he misses the direct training with the ball.

With the increasing use of social media during the pandemic, the number and speed of the spread of false information or "fake news" rapidly increased. These false information spread much faster on the internet than the truthful, because it fulfills the entertainment factor. Many users do not question the source or the validity of the information they read on social media, but rather share it without further ado. Reports that are supposed to correct the fake news often get much less attention and spread more slowly because they are not considered "exciting" or "interesting".
Especially when it comes to political issues, fake news is a danger in forming opinions.
