Successful entrepreneur Elon Reeve Musk is one of the richest people in the world. As co-founder and head of the modern payment service "PayPal", as well as head of the space company "SpaceX" and the now world-famous electric car company "Tesla", Elon Musk has already made quite a few things happen in his fifty years of life. 

Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. His parents divorced when he was only nine years old, and he spent most of his childhood with his father in South Africa. By the time he was ten, he had developed a certain interest in computers and taught himself several programming languages. When he was only twelve, he developed his first video game, which he sold to the computer magazine "PC and Office Technology" for as much as 500 Euros. At sixteen, he emigrated to Canada to work for the South African Defense Service. There he got accepted at „Queen's University of Kingston“, but eventually finished his studies and got a bachelor’s degree in physics and economics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in the USA. Shortly after, he began studying physics again but dropped out only after a short time to start his first business. 

Together with his brother Kimbal, he founded the company "Zip2" in 1995, which offered content for media companies. Four years later, it was sold for a whopping $307 million. In 1999, Musk founded a company called x.com, which enables people to pay online via email. Eventually, he partnered with the company "Confinity," which specialized in a project called Paypal, a similar concept to what Musk and his brother were developing. When Paypal was sold for 1.5 Million to eBay, Musk owned the largest part of the company shares with 11.7%. 

In 2002, Elon Musk founded the space company Space X, which is now the leading company in fields such as rocket launches and transporting satellites into space. Now the goal of the project is to make trips to space more affordable, with the thought of one day being able to settle humans on Mars and other planets. 

Back in 2004, Musk invested a lot of money in the electric car company Tesla and became the company's CEO and product architect. 

Since these first great successes, the entrepreneur is always in the media and has had a great impact on the economy around the world. Just recently, Elon Musk was even named the largest shareholder of the company and the world-famous app Twitter. By the end of 2022, Musk is planning to completely take over the app and transform the site into a global platform for free speech. Since Twitter currently deletes certain posts based on its own policies, Musk wants to change just that and emphasize freedom of speech on the platform in a positive way. 

Elon Musk is not only in the media because of his success, his finances, and his many companies. The 50-year-old has already married several times and had five sons with one of his ex-wives Justine Musk after the first baby was a sad miscarriage. They had triplets and then twins. After a long on-off relationship and the many weddings, as well as divorces with actress Talulah Riley from 2010 to 2016, Elon Musk was in a relationship with Amber Heard for a few months.

For a long time, Musk was then with the musician Grimes. The two have a son and a daughter together, each with very special and particular names. The almost-two-year-old son is named "XÆ A-XII Musk." How the little boy's name is pronounced, no one has really understood yet. The daughter is named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. The relationship between the two is complicated; they live in separate houses but have a very good bond with each other. Even though they are probably not officially together anymore, the two do their own thing, which there is nothing wrong with. 

Now Elon Musk has also spoken out about his ex's defamation trial with Johnny Depp. Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been fighting in court for over six weeks over her reputation and a lot of money. On Twitter he writes "I hope they both move on. At their best, they are each incredible.". With this, he does not show on whose side he is, which is probably a good thing but speaks out for both parties. He hopes that both can go their way soon and that he appreciates Amber, as well as Johnny for who they are. Even though actor Johnny Depp would have liked Elon Musk to testify in court, the Tesla CEO's lawyers were just able to prevent it.

Now there are rumors that Musk might have a new girlfriend. The entrepreneur was spotted with Natasha Bassett in St. Tropez. The 50-year-old has probably fallen in love again with the pretty actress Natasha (27) from Australia, which you can not blame him for. Officially, however, nothing is known about the two. 

In the entertainment show "Saturday Night Live", which the entrepreneur hosted as a guest, Elon Musk talks about his Asperger's syndrome for the first time in 2021. The show is broadcasted on the American channel BBC. Stars, entertainers, and comedians are always invited to moderate the show and make it their own. He said he was the first entertainer to host this show with Asperger's syndrome. Asperger's syndrome is a deviation of autism and can mean that some skills in the social and communication areas are a bit more limited for the one who is affected. Musk is very casual and open about it and joked around with the team after announcing his diagnosis.

In an hour-long interview with TED, Elon Musk emphasizes that together we can build a great future and must always think positively. In addition to the climate disaster, robots, and self-driving cars, Musk shows how important the future is to him and how much thought he actually puts into it.
