The 34 year old basketball player and reality TV star Andrej Mangold was born on January 14, 1987 in Hanover. On his mother's side, he has US American roots and his father is from the former Soviet Union. But Andrej himself was born and raised in Germany.

He discovered his passion for basketball at an early age, as his mother was also a basketball player. He practically grew up playing and watching games and has been at his mother's plays since he was a little kid. At the age of five he started playing basketball privately in his free time. Later he joined the club TK Hannover and played there professionally for the first time in the youth group and later in the men's team.

He stood out from the crowd early on in the team because of his good performance and a lot of talent, which is why he was able to upgrade himself further and further in his career. For example, he changed to Oldenburg TB in 2005, then later to FC Bayern Munich in 2008 and was finally able to play in the German national team in 2014.

Andrej Mangold had his first TV appearance in 2016 when he presented a project on the German TV program "Die Höhle der Löwen" on VOX. He presented his own chewing gum brand, called „DasKaugummi“, to the jury, a sugar-free chewing gum with different flavors. The investor Ralf Dümmel initially showed interest and suggested a deal, which unfortunately later did not prevail and was therefore unsuccessful.

In 2018 he got the opportunity to roll out his professional career internationally and play for the Slovak first division club MBK Baník Handlová. However, he declined this offer, then decided to end his professional career and shortly after officially announced his decision publicly in 2019. Certainly his fans were quite disappointed when he stopped playing basketball, but luckily he was still active on social media and continued to show his fans insights into his life.

In 2019, the coveted womanizer was casted as the main role in the very well-known RTL series "The Bachelor" and was looking for his true love in front of millions of viewers. He was very much liked by a lot of women and won many new fans during the series. The at the time 32-year-old was lucky and got together with the 25-year-old candidate Jennifer Lange, a sports and health manager from Bremen. After the shooting was finished, the fresh couple had to hide their relationship first, so that the fans wouldn't find out the end of the series. In an interview with the German show “Guten Morgen Deutschland”, a broadcast on RTL, Jennifer spoke of how difficult this early period was because of all the hiding and secrets. The two were only allowed to leave the house when it was dark so that they would not be seen by fans or paparazzi. When the last episode aired and the secret was out, the newly-in love couple was finally able to proudly show themselves to the public and even moved in together shortly afterwards. However, the relationship did not last long and the two separated in November last year. The Bachelor dream couple explained to their many fans that they were at different points in life and could not completely harmonize with each other. The separation after two years is probably mainly due to the relatively large age difference between the two.

It was recently rumored in the media that the ex-Bachelor could have a new girlfriend. In an interview with "Bild" he reveals that he met a woman and met her in New York. He was really looking forward to the first date with her and even said it could be the one. The mysterious woman is apparently an international model, but Andrej has not yet revealed more about her. Unfortunately, he said in an Instagram story that nothing came of it and that he is still single. Hopefully things will look better for the womanizer in the future than in his last relationships. We definitely wish him all the best of luck, because after all the drama he really deserves it! In the interview with "Bild" he also spoke openly about the mental problems he had to go through after the difficult period in his life. The time after the German show „Sommerhaus der Stars" was very hard for the ex-basketball professional, as he was getting a lot of hate during the series due to his feudal behavior and therefore was at the end of his tether. He even received death threats and other insults on his social media channels. When it got too much for him, he sought professional help from a psychologist, which apparently helped him a lot. The therapist advised him to "leave the negative things behind and look ahead". And that is exactly what Andrej wants to do now; get his life back on track.

He recently posted on Instagram that he bought his dream car in Mallorca; a VW T-Roc in "all black"! He proudly presents the new car to his 300,000 followers and shows how happy he is with it. He also takes his fans with him every day and posts short videos or photos from his everyday life on Mallorca in his story.
