The actress Chryssanthi Kavazi was born on January 28, 1989 in Wolfenbüttel, a city in Lower Saxony. She grew up with three siblings in Hillerse. There, her parents ran a Greek restaurant together. Chryssanthi has Greek-German roots and thus grew up with different Greek traditions in Germany. She has had both German and Greek citizenship since 2020.

After school, she then moved to Braunschweig and later to Cologne for an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic for production technology at Volkswagen's Salzgitter plant. 

This decision was quite influenced by her parents, who wanted Chryssanthi to do something "reliable" after school. In an interview, the young actress talked about this pressure, which came from her parent's house; "I had no idea what to do". Nevertheless, she went through the training, which lasted three and a half years, and after that, she even started working in the field. This allowed her to save some money and became independent from her parents.

She quickly realized that this profession was it for her and that her heart beats for something completely different.

In Cologne she started to discover her passion, acting, and started following her heart. In 2012, she took the plunge and quit her old job to pursue her dream. She attended the acting school "Film Acting School Cologne" for two years and gained her first experiences there. Fortunately, she was able to finance her time at the acting school herself, because making her parents pay for it would have been the last thing she would have wanted. In an interview with RTL, however, she said that she does not regret her previous training and time in the industrial mechanic field; on the contrary, she believes the time "was good for her."

Along the way, she took private acting lessons and worked in a boutique. In the beginning this time was quite hard for Chryssanthi, because she rushed from casting to casting. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work out at first and she had a hard time making enough money for her to finance her life. The first time Chryssanthi really stood in front of the camera was for a supporting role in 2015 in the German comedy "Männertag". That same year, she also got to star in the TV series "Einstein" with Tom Beck, a German actor, and singer. 

In an interview with GALA on TV, she explained that at times she couldn't even afford a pack of pasta. Nevertheless, she never gave up acting and finally gave it a try at the GZSZ casting and was finally successful there. Chryssanthi was made for the role.

Increased media attention got the then 28-year-old in 2017, through her leading role as Laura Weber or Laura Lehmann in the RTL daily soap "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" (GZSZ). When she got the call telling her she had the role, she completely freaked out and just screamed with joy. Before her first day of shooting, Chryssanthi was so excited that she could hardly sleep. 

The series GZSZ has a very special meaning for Chryssanthi because she connects it with her home. In her youth, she and her family used to have an episode of GZSZ for dinner, Chryssanthi says in an interview. As a teenager, she could only have dreamed of one day starring in it. 

Chryssanthi met the actor Tom Beck, her future partner, in the early days of her acting school in Cologne. The two have been a couple since 2015. She even moved in with him in the capital, Berlin. For a long time, Tom and Chryssanthi kept their relationship out of the public eye. But on August 18, 2018, the official wedding of the dream couple finally took place and thus the final confirmation of their relationship. A Greek Orthodox ceremony followed a week later at the Gifhorn Church in Lower Saxony. In an interview with GALA, Chryssanthi recalled the unusual marriage proposal Tom made to her. She recalls that the two were in Thailand together and she hoped for a proposal every day of the vacation. So when the two of them stood at a decorated gazebo one evening, she was sure it was going to happen. Tom broke it up, however, saying he was only joking. He was probably quite nervous and didn't know how to go about it. As a result, the pretty actress was very upset, and even fell down and hurt her foot. Tom felt sorry for her and proposed to her the same evening in the bathtub, both with a beer bottle in their hands. Actually, he had planned to make the big proposal the next day. So luckily everything still went smoothly, despite the chaotic marriage proposal. 

A year after the two engaged, they became proud parents of a son on 09.11.2019. 

The pretty Chryssanthi is also very active on Instagram. There, she built up a community of more than 360 thousand followers over the years. She posts daily pictures of herself in great outfits, impressions of events, or photos with friends. You can also find glimpses of her family life on her Instagram account. For example, she recently posted a short video of her gorgeous wedding with Tom on their anniversary. From time to time, she also uploads a photo with her little son, who is now almost three years old. His face is never seen, however, because the young mom is very concerned about her child's privacy. With short videos or photos that she uploads to her Story, she takes her fans with her every day and shows insights into her everyday life as an actress and mother at the same time.
