Alvaro Soler is a Spanish-German pop singer and voice actor best known for his fun-loving personality and upbeat music. He always manages to put his fans in a good mood with his songs; you can tell that from the good atmosphere at his concerts.

Alvaro was born on January 9th, 1991 in Sant Cugat del Vallès, a small Catalan town north of the beautiful metropolis of Barcelona. His mother has Spanish and Belgian roots and his father is of German origin. At the age of 10, Alvaro moved to Tokyo with his family and went to a German school there. That means Alvaro grew up in Japan and even learned a little Japanese. There he founded a school band and thus took the first step towards a music career. At the age of 17, he returned to Barcelona to study industrial design from 2009 to 2013 at the "Escuela de Grafismo Elisava". However, he realized that his place was definitely in the music industry and he devoted himself to music full-time.

Alvaro discovered this special passion for music in his early childhood. Little Alvaro started playing the piano when he was just a little boy, then founded the school band. In 2010 he founded the professional band “Urban Lights” in Barcelona with his younger brother and a few friends. The "Urban Lights" made it to the finals of the Spanish casting show "Tú sí quer vales" and even won a university talent competition. Then in 2014 Alvaro decided to do his own thing and left the band.

At the beginning of 2015, the now 31-year-old went to the capital Berlin and from there, things just went uphill for the singer and voice actor. After his contract as a solo musician, he released his first debut album "Eterno agosto" and at the same time his first single "El mismo". "El mismo" reached number one on the Italian charts within two weeks and was very well received by the fans. In 2016 he sat in the jury of the 10th season of the Italian edition "The X Factor", where the band he supervised, "Soul System", won the competition. In 2019 he was part of the German show and sixth season "Sing mein Song - das Tauschkonzert". There he was allowed to perform songs by other famous stars while they sang his songs on the show. Alvaro has meanwhile released many super hits that are known in the charts worldwide. Songs like "El mismo sol" with Jennifer Lopez, "La Cintura" with Tini, or "Sofia" have become catchy tunes in many countries.

Alvaro was in a relationship with Spanish singer Sofia Ellar from 2018 to 2021. Just a year ago, in March 2021, the pop singer announced his separation from the pretty Spanish woman via his Instagram account. Today Alvaro is single but would like to have children in the future who, like him, should grow up bilingual.

The 31-year-old can currently be seen on the jury for the tenth season of "The Voice Kids Germany". There, every Friday evening at 8:15 p.m. on the German television channel Sat1, he brightens the hearts of young and old viewers with his happy personality.

Besides his career as a singer, Alvaro is also a talented voice actor. He recently landed his first role in a Disney film. Alvaro himself is a big Disney fan, which is also why a little dream came true for him. For the film "Encanto" he took the voice for the German and Italian versions of the role of Camilo Madrigal. In addition, his song "Yo Contigo, Tú Conmigo" was played in the 2017 children's film "I - Simply Despicable 3". „Yo Contigo, Tú Conmigo“ became a huge international hit and he sang it together with the Colombian band "Morat".

In early 2020, at the beginning of the Corona Pandemic, Alvaro took a break to focus on himself and write songs. He said he missed his private life and wanted to take the time to have other experiences as well. Since the pandemic dragged on for a very long time and many things were banned, Alvaro quickly missed his fans and the concerts again.

In addition to music, the popular singer is very talented in languages. Raised multilingual from an early age, he grew up speaking Spanish and German. Because he has traveled from place to place so much and has moved a lot, he is also fluent in English, Catalan, Italian, French, and even Japanese. In total, the pop musician speaks seven languages!
