Jeremy Dudziak - From street-kicker to professional soccer player

The German-Tunisian soccer player Jeremy Dudziak, born on August 28, 1996, in Hamburg, changed from the Hamburger SV to SpVgg Greuther Fürth in August 2021. Before that, he first played at Borussia Dortmund and then at the FC St. Pauli. From the beginning, he had a great passion for soccer and with a lot of training and discipline, he was able to become a professional. Dudziak started playing for the Duisburg soccer club "Victoria Beeck" when he was only five years old. In 2004, when he was only 8 years old, he joined the youth department of MSV Duisburg. He discovered his interest in soccer by chance by seeing a soccer game on TV when he and his mother were watching TV at home. In an interview with the official HSV website, he said that he told his mother at the time that he wanted to play soccer himself. He also says that when he was a little boy he always played soccer with his friends. In every break, after school, and in every free minute of his time, he was in some field or on the street, playing soccer with his friends; "I played more on the street than at an actual soccer club.“.

Only three years after he played for MSV Duisburg, he changed to FC Schalke 04. In summer 2009 he then changed to Borussia Dortmund and thereby started his soccer career early on. In January 2015 he received his professional contract. If you want to know how Jeremy got this far with his career so early and how he was able to motivate himself, again and again, to make his dream of a professional soccer player come true, then you can easily ask him yourself now. He can be reached at Bloggercube at any time!

In August of this year, Dudziak decided to take on a new challenge after two years playing for the HSV. He decided to switch to Bundesliga promoted SpVgg Greuther Fürth. An article was published on the official HSV website in which his change and Jeremy's motives for the future were reported. In it, the sports director of HSV Michael Mutzel explains that the possibility of a change arose at short notice and that it was a good solution for both sides. Jeremy definitely wanted to seize this opportunity and take a step towards a future career. He is looking forward to the new adventure, he said in the interview. The official HSV account wrote a farewell post on Twitter: "We thank you for your commitment to us over the past two seasons and wish you all the best for your future, Jerry."

Of course, Dudziak's many club changes are not well received by the respective fans. When he moved from the FC St. Pauli to the Hamburger SV, many Pauli fans were angry and even went so far as to put up posters with insults such as "Rautenschwein". Of course, Jeremy said that these insults hurt him and made him very upset since it were his own ex-fans who say that about him.

Apparently even Jeremy's mother is said to have scolded him about the change from the FC St. Pauli to the HSV. His mother Svenja is a St. Pauli fan and of course, was not too happy when her son switched to the opponent. Apparently, he also told her about the decision after he signed the contract for precisely that reason.

In February 2020, Jeremy suffered an injury in a game against Hannover 96 that left him out for eight weeks. Nevertheless, he was lucky because at first it was feared that he might even have torn a cruciate ligament. Fortunately, the injuries turned out to be relatively small, and he "only" overextended the cruciate ligament in his left knee and had a slight partial tear in the inner ligament. Luckily, an operation wasn't necessary either. Nevertheless, the disappointment was great when he left the Hamburg University Hospital on crutches, as it was clear that the great soccer player would be absent for several weeks. The fear that went with the disappointment was justified because the HSV team then immediately lost the two subsequent games.

The unwanted Corona break actually helped Dudziak a bit in this difficult time, as he didn’t have to miss even more games. He used the time of isolation with individual training and did a lot of physiotherapies to be fit again as quickly as possible and to be able to play and train with the team again. All in all, he was out for a full 67 days, but only missed three games. When he was finally back on the field with his team, he was visibly relieved and also very grateful. In an interview published on the official HSV website, he claimed that he was physically fit again, but he noticed that his stamina had deteriorated a bit during the break. He also added that, of course, soccer is not an individual sport but a team sport and it always feels really good for any soccer player to be back playing with the team after an injury.

The successful soccer player keeps his private life in the background, which is why not much is known about it. Jeremy is hardly active on social media either. He used to have an Instagram account, which he deactivated some time ago. When his Instagram account was still active, however, he regularly posted stories there and at least shared a small part of his everyday life with his fans. In April 2020, for example, he posted a photo of a cute puppy that is assumed to have been the new addition to the Dudziak family.

It is also known that he got engaged in December 2019 and then married the beautiful Ana in 2020. The dream engagement took place in the beautiful desert of Dubai. At the time, he posted a picture on Instagram with his fiancée, proudly showing her ring to the camera, and wrote: “She said yes! What a wonderful moment.“. In an interview with the “Bild”, he spoke about how excited he was and that two months in advance he had planned the dreamlike proposal with a professional company.
